DIY Baking Soda Scrub

Top of the mornin’ my favorite pamperin’ pals! Im writing this awesome, basic scrub recipe while poolside on a weekend get away! Does life get any radder? Probably not. 😉

I really hope you all enjoyed the past couple festive recipes, Pumpkin Facials and Pumpkin Pie Body Scrub..because today’s recipe is going to be a staple-go to recipe that is smiple, effective and can be done everyday! Im sure I’ll especially need this vital ingredient after this sunshine filled trip, as baking soda is an ingredient that is so effective in aiding in the skins health (and soothing of sunburns!).

Ingredients:

2 to 3 Tbsp. Baking soda
Small amount of water

Directions:

Mix the ingredients into a paste.
Using a circular motion, apply to face and gently scrub.

Rinse and moisturize.

According to www.planetgreen.discovery.com, baking soda makes a top-notch exfoliation. Why? Baking soda is coarse, but not too coarse. It’s the best amount of coarse for removing the top layer of dead skin cells, and if applied correctly, it won’t cause your sensitive facial skin to become red and irritated!

(And thnkfully after this desert sunshine-it helps with sunburns..When baking soda is added to bath water, sunburn sufferers often experience a notable reduction in pain. Place a cup (8 ounces) of baking soda under the running bath tap so it dissolves completely, and soak in a lukewarm tub for about half an hour. Such a bath will soothe the pain – and you won’t have to endure the stinging sensation of a shower. Adding baking soda to a hot bath at any time also helps wash acid wastes out of the body.)

YAY for going Green and inproving our skin..NATURALLY,

xoxo
