Issues with lipstick going on smoothly? Chapped lips that never seem lip locking ready? There’s hope ladies…My gift to you..Simple, natural DIY lip scrub à la Brittany Michele.
Your skin is THE largest organ and needs to be cleansed of dead skin. Its functions of expelling toxins, ample breathing and circulation will be hightend with regualr exfoliation.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
-
Honey (1tbsp)
-
Brown Sugar(1tbsp)
-
Olive Oil
Honey is a natural antioxidant . It helps to keep the skin feeling soft by assisting in the skins’s ability to rejuvenate and refresh delpeted skin. Honey is able to help keep skin hydrated and provents drying, and has been used as an ancient beauty staple with “honey and milk” to keep skin youthful and smooth. (Even Egyptian Queen, Cleopatra, swore by this beauty secret and it has been used in Chinese medicine since the 6th century BC to substance both the body and soul!)
Brown Sugar is chalk full of Vitamin B and assists in exfoliating your skin without drying it out. Its texture is course enough to exfoliate your skin but isnt abrasive enough to irritate your skin. Its a natural, no preservative ingredient to insure no harm to your skin.
Mix the Honey and Brown sugar together, Apply the paste textured mixture to your lips and leave on for a few minutes. (Try not to lick your lips..kinda tempting!) and then start GENTLY “buffing” your lips with the mixture in circular motions. The brown sugar is now exfoliating the dead skin off your lips- do this until all the skin is buffed off. Immediatly apply Olive Oil to your lips as your all natural lip moitsurizer. (This secret was also used by Cleopatra!)
With my addiction to pinker than pink glossy lips, I use this scrub at least 2x a week. It only takes a few minutes and your lips feel instantly smoother, fuller and more hydrated!
With these lips, more x’s than o’s,
xoxo
