DIY Cranberry Facial: Everyday should be Thanksgiving :)

Im a huge fan of showing thanks and expressing appreciation ALL year ’round. Everyday SHOULD be a day of THANKS..but when this one day of the year rolls around, I have to admit I feel extra thankful for all my blessings!

Without my beautiful family, friends (and friends who have become family), clients and co workers I would not be who I am today. I appreciate every single one of them for their amazing presence in my life, and their contributions to my world. Each of the have a piece of my heart, and I LOVE them! All the people in my life, past or present who have all pushed me to light my fire to become something great, I THANK YOU!

I feel so lucky to do what I love everyday, & the support I receive inspires me even more to pursue my passion. I thank each and every one of you reading this and I hope all of you have a beautiful Thanksgiving full of loved ones, yummy food and life long memories to be made.

…and on that note, on to the real focus of this post.

DIY CRANBERRY FACIAL!

While whipping up the delicious food for Thanksgiving’s festivities, set a few cranberries aside for your after dinner treat.. NO, not pumpkin pie..or a nap- A relaxing, well deserved dessert for your SKIN!! Cranberries  serve as an amazing natural exfoliator, and smell yummy! Enjoy this recipe, and share it with your loved ones 🙂

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup fresh cranberries
  • 3/4 cup seedless grapes, green or red
  • 3 tsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 envelope plain gelatin
  • 1 tsp. almond powder

Directions:

  • Put cranberries and grapes in a blender until pureed.
  • Add in lemon juice, gelatin and almond powder.
  • Put mixture in the fridge to set for an hour.
  • Remove mixture and apply to a clean, dry face.
  • Leave on for 20 minutes.
  • Rinse with warm water. 🙂
